Chairman Go Sang-gu Donates 100 Million KRW to the Global Hansang Dream Scholarship Fund

The Overseas Koreans Foundation (Chairman Han Woo-sung) announced on the 25th that Go Sang-gu, Chairman of the 18th World Hansang Business Convention, donated 100 million KRW to the "Global Hansang Dream" scholarship fund.

The Global Hansang Dream, rooted in the spirit of "Noblesse Oblige" among the Hansang community, is committed to fostering the next generation of talent in Korea and advancing social contribution initiatives. Since its inception in 2017, the fund has awarded 160 million KRW in scholarships to over 90 promising young talents in Korea.

Chairman Han Woo-sung of the Overseas Koreans Foundation remarked, “I hope the DNA of sharing, embedded in the Hansang community's business philosophy, is passed on to the next generation. It is my wish that the beautiful tradition of Hansang’s social contributions continues to thrive.”

Chairman Go Sang-gu of the 18th World Hansang Business Convention, who also serves as the President of K&K Global Trading, operates K-Market, the largest Korean food distribution company in Vietnam. Under his leadership, K-Market became the first Hansang enterprise to be named among Vietnam's top 100 brands. Recently, he spearheaded the completion of a 2-hectare multi-purpose logistics center, further expanding the market for Korean agricultural products.

Meanwhile, the Global Hansang Dream is preparing to elect a new chairman and board members as the inaugural leadership team concludes their three-year term. Scholarships have also been awarded to students from the Yeosu and Jeollanam-do regions, where the 18th World Hansang Business Convention was held.
